Crackling Bread -Choctaw recipe
1 C. cornmeal 1/2 C. flour 1 tablespoon sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 2 C. milk 1 C. cracklings (Crisp pork rinds, cracked) 1 egg Mix all ingredients. Pour into a greased pan. A heavy cast iron skillet or pan is best for baking cornbread. Bake at 450 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve hot.
