Ingredients
One complete seed spike (deep red) Honey, or some other sweetener
Directions
Rub the small fruits loose from the spike bundle and bruise them slightly. Then steep them in hot water until the water takes on a deep rose color. Control the strength of the tea by the length of time you steep it. Drain off the tea. The fruit can be used more than once in most circumstances. Sweeten to taste with honey or other sweeteners. *** SAFETY NOTE ***** The red fruit spikes of the 'Staghorn Sumac' create a wonderful brew. The 'WHITE' fruit of the 'POISON SUMAC' is as deadly as its name. The fruits do not look the same, but ask someone who knows the difference to teach you.
