Navajo marine shares culture across the world Tuesday, June 10, 2008
Aaron Eldridge, a member of the _Navajo Nation_ (http://www.indianz.com/my.asp?url=http://www.navajo.org/) , is enjoying his service in the _U.S. Marines_ (http://www.indianz.com/my.asp?url=http://www.usmc.mil/) . Eldridge, 20, enlisted right after he finished high school in 2005. He's been stationed in Japan and Thailand, where he is currently assisting people in Myanmar who are affected by _Cyclone Nargis_ (http://www.indianz.com/my.asp?url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclone_Nargis) . "My expectations were to further my education, travel the world and experience other cultures," Eldridge told The Farmington Daily Times. "I'm Native American, so I like to share my culture with them." Eldridge comes from a family of military service members.
