ANISSABO (PEA SOUP -- CREE STYLE)
2 C. dried peas, soaked 2 1/2 C. hominy 1 C. celery leaves Salt, pepper, and savory to taste 16 C. water
Soak peas until soft. Put them in a large pot with the rest of the ingredients. Simmer until the peas are tender but still firm. Add the hominy and cook until thickened. Serve hot.
