ACORN BREAD
Preheat oven: 350
1 C. acorn flour 1/2 C. cornmeal 1/2 C. whole wheat flour 1 tsp. salt 1 T. baking powder 1 egg 1/2 C. honey 3 T. cooking oil 1 C. milk
Combine flours, cornmeal, salt, and baking powder. Combine egg, honey, oil, and milk. Add to dry ingredients, mixing a little at a time. Pour into greased pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Contemporary Acorn Bread
1 c Acorn meal 1 c All-purpose flour 2 tb Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt 3 tb Sugar 1 Egg, beaten 1 c Milk 3 tb Oil
Sift together, acorn meal, white flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. In separate bowl, mix together egg, milk, and oil. Combine dry ingredients and liquid ingredients. Stir just enough to moisten dry ingredients. Pour into a greased pan and bake at 400F. for 30 minutes.
