PAWPAW BREAD INGREDIENTS
2 cups unbleached flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/3 cup shortening 2 eggs beaten 1/4 cup evap. or coconut crea 1 lb peeled, sliced pawpaw, then mash 3/4 cup sugar METHOD:
1. Heat oven to 350�F. 2. Sift together flour, baking powder salt and nutmeg, set aside. 3. In a large mixing bowl beat sugar and shortening together until creamy. Add eggs and flour mixture alternately with milk, stirring after each addition. Stir in pawpaw. 4. Pour batter into a well-greased loaf tin. Bake 1 hr. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
