"You sit around and think, 'What would I do with a million dollars,' then when it actually happens you think 'Now what?'" said Brother Paul Ackerman, who runs De La Salle Blackfeet School. The private, Roman Catholic school started in 2001 and has 53 students in fifth through eighth grade. It is open to students of any religion. Edmund Bott, 93, who is living in an assisted-living facility in Wyandotte never has visited the school or Browning. His interest in helping American Indians led him to pay for the college educations of 13 students. But he noticed that many of those students struggled as freshmen, so he decided to invest in younger students. Bott decided to give $1 million in stock to the Browning school. After ironing out the financial details, the school received it this month.
