Hello everyone,
I set up a fundraising program called "Helping the Rez." One of the programs that I have set up is for the ink cartridge recycling program. The company I have chosen to work through is called Advantage Cartridge. They pay for each ink cartridge, toner cartridge and cell phone that is recycled thru this program.
How it works:
All you have to do is call or email Karen at the phone number below and request the boxes. These boxes can be used as display boxes and also for shipping. When the boxes are full, you simply call UPS and request a pickup, this pickup is pre-paid by Advantage. So there is little effort involved to participate in this program, all you have to do is collect the cartridges! If you wanted to really be proactive you could place the boxes at different business locations as well, the more the better! Again, all they have to do is make the phone call for the pickup. It's that simple! I have participated in this program before and it does work! It's a easy way to raise hopefully several hundred dollars a month for the cause.
This is a great way to help the cause and in turn it also helps the environment by recycling!
Upon ordering your boxes please refer to "Helping the Rez" this is what the account is set up under. If you could also please email me at Tamra@NDNnews.com and let me know that you are participating in this program, I would appreciate it. I would like to keep track of how many boxes we have out there.
Another option is if you want to email me with your name and address, I can forward your info to Advantage to have the boxes sent to you. I am happy to do this if it makes it easier on you and your willing to help!
How I have set the proceeds up is, each month Advantage send checks out. I have set it up that the checks will ALWAYS go DIRECTLY to the Non-Profit Rez Assistance Programs that I help sponsor. Each quarter it will be alternated between them. For the months of December, January, February it is set up to go directly to "Link Center Foundation" www.LinkCenterFoundation.org and will go towards heating assistance on the South Dakota Rez's.
This is a important cause, Winter is not even officially upon us yet and its already been in the 20's during the day and the low teens at night here in South Dakota. Its going to be a cold winter folks and there are alot of folks on the rez's here that have NO heat in their homes because they cant afford it!
I will be setting up a section on my website for this program and other fundraising ideas as well. Stay tuned for details..................
