Money raised after presents taken

APPLETON — Contributors rallied to provide more than enough money to cover the replacement cost of holiday gifts for needy families that disappeared last week from the American Indian Center of the Fox Valley.
Program director Becky Edler said Thursday that the center has received at least $3,000 in cash and in-kind donations from individuals and groups, including $250 from the Appleton Housing Authority and a $1,000 pledge from the Oneida Tribe of Indians.
"We are overwhelmed with the generosity of both the native and non-native communities," Edler said.
