Tuma Wutaka (Hopi Dried Boiled Bean Sauce)
1 C. finely ground beans that have been cooked and dried 2 C. water seasonings to taste (chile powder, peppers, onions, etcetera - personal preference)
Combine beans and water in a saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often. Add seasonings or meat drippings to taste. Serve with chopped, raw onions and someviki for a light meal. This recipe can also be used as a sauce or gravy, as a bean dip, or for making refried beans.
