Native American children's author needed

Iowa's First Lady, Christie Vilsack, has a program "Books for
Kindergartners"

.html, where she chooses a children's book (written by an Iowa
author) to give to every kindergartner in the state of Iowa.
Unfortunately, this book program does not have a book by a Native
American author/illustrator/editor. There is currently one tribe
residing in Iowa, but there are numerous tribes indigenous to Iowa.
If you know any Native American authors indigenous to Iowa, please
let her know.
