Hair Ties
Materials needed:
2 one and half inch Metal conch
2 two inch Hairpipe (bone or plastic) or Horn Tubes
48 Pony beads (Glass or plastic)
4 !-5/8" feather Charms
Suede Lacing (about 5 ft long)
Go_ here_ (http://www.spiritconnectioncraftstore.com/) to purchase
supplies.
Read ALL instructions before beginning.
Assembly:
Step 1: Lay out your materials (beads, hairpipe, charms) So you can see
how it will look when it is finished. Then if you want to add or change the
layout, you can do that now. You can always add other types of beads, charms or
shells to suit yourself.
Step 2: Start by tying a feather charm to the end of piece of suede
lacing about 12" long. Tie securely and put just a spot of clear drying glue on
the knot to keep it from coming undone.
Step 3: String the Pony beads and hairpipe onto the lacing. Add the
arrangement of materials you have laid out until you reach the point where the
metal conch will be added. Leave a gap about 3/8" and then begin to string the
second side. The gap is where you will attach the Metal conch.
Step 4: At the end of the 2nd half, tie another feather charm securely.
Add a drop of glue and trim the end of lacing close.
Repeat steps 1 through 4 for the second hair tie
Step 5: . Cut the remaining suede lacing in half. Lace the lacing through
the metal conch from the back around the gap on the hair tie and back through
the second hole on the metal conch. This will secure the beads on the lacing
to the metal conch. Tie the lacing in a square note on the back side of
the metal conch to hold everything together.
Use these ties to secure hair tie to your hair.
You can substitute bead types ands styles, and the conches to create a
unique creation truly yours.
