I am newt, a fellow passenger on earth. My first novel is now out,
from <a href="http://www.rockwaypress.com">RockWay Press</a>, a new
publisher just outside of Sante Fe, New Mexico.
How the Strong Survive is a thriller that opens with 4 women victims
of a serial rapist coming to Ben Pace--a Lakhota priest / medicine
man--who is living off-Rez in Crofton, MD. The rapist is the nephew
of the Governor of Maryland. The case was rushed to trial to get a not
gulty for the son of a rich and powerful family. Ben Pace is the
women's last hope for justice.
Ben's spirit guide directs him to link the case of the raped women to
the rape of the Red Nations by the US Government, especially the
raiding of over $18Billion dollars from the Indian Trust Funds.
Linking these two causes sets in motion a cataclysmic conflict between
4 people questing for justice against political corruption on both
sides of the aisle. Through it all, Ben must find a way to heal the
women, and the rift between the American people and the American Indians.
