The Tigua Tribe of Texas says it won't give up the fight to restore its gaming rights. The tribe was forced to shut down the Speaking Rock Casino in a legal dispute with the state. Efforts to reopen the casino by amending state laws, however, have failed. This past legislative session, State Rep. Norma Chávez (D) tried three ways to authorize gaming on the reservation. None of them succeeded but Tigua Gov. Art Senclair said the tribe will go back to the Capitol to continue the effort.
